"It is normal to be included in Egypt's squad given my good form with Konyaspor," Abdullah told FilGoal.com on Thursday.
"I have played on a regular basis since my arrival, I have also scored two goals and dished out three assists so far."
The former Ahli and Ismaili right-back has been named in Egypt's squad by coach Hassan Shehata for the first time since 2004 after his fine displays with the Turkish outfit.
"My inclusion means that Shehata puts an eye on every Egyptian playing abroad and that the national team's door is opened for any player who proves himself," Abdullah added.
Abdullah may play in a European competition next season as Konyaspor lie sixth in the Turkish League table and need a win from their two remaining games to secure a place in next season's UEFA Cup.
"Our next match against Rizespor is decisive as we are chasing a European spot while our opponents are fighting to stay in the top flight next season."
