Ismaili manager Patrice Neveu confirmed that his team deserved their qualification to the CAF Cup quarter finals and that he is aiming to compete at all levels.

"After our qualification today we have three targets to achieve. The CAF Cup, Egypt Cup and to battle with Zamalek to snatch the second spot in the League," said the French tactician.

Ismaili beat Wydad Casablanca 2-0 on Friday night to get through with a 3-0 aggregate after their first away victory 1-0 two weeks ago.

"Zamalek are in a better position than we are as they had more time to rest and prepare before the last two games," added the former Guinea boss.

And talking about the future of the team Neveu confirmed that his team needs at least four or five more players to be able to compete at the highest level.

On the other hand, Wydad coach Ladislas Lozano revealed that this match may be his last with the club.

"This is my last game with the team and I may be not here for the rest of the season. I asked for a good recruitment but nothing happened and there’s nothing to keep me in."

Wydad have witnessed a major blow this season as they dropped to fourth place in the Moroccan table and now they are eliminated from round 16 in the CAF Cup.

“I was targeting an early goal to bounce back in the game but it didn’t happen.”
