Egypt slip three places
The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has sent a fax to their Burundian counterparts, demanding clarification over the place of Egypt's African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Burundi.

The match, which is scheduled for June 17th, was initially switched to Rwanda capital Kigali because the biggest stadium in Burundi is set to be renovated.

However, the Egyptian ambassador in Rwanda told the EFA officials there are no reservations in any hotel in Kigali because the city will host an international AIDS conference.

As a result, the EFA demanded postponing the match or switching it to another country in case Egypt fail to find a suitable hotel near the match's venue.

The Pharaohs, who were held to a 1-1 away draw by Mauritania on Sunday, are on top of Group two with eight points, two ahead of second-placed Burundi with two matches to go.
