The Confederation Africaine de Football (CAF) confirmed that the Egyptian side has all the rights to postpone the Burundi game in the African qualifiers, set to be played in Rwanda on June 17th, in case of absence of a convenient accommodation.

"We received a fax from the CAF confirming the matter as there are no convenient accommodations in Kigali at that time," said Medhat Shalabi, the EFA spokesman.

The EFA has already asked from their counterpart in Rwanda to provide a place next to the stadium or to postpone the game or switching it to another country .

Shalabi also revealed that the board members contacted Egypt technical staff asking about their opinion.

The criss blew up when Egypt ambassador in Kigali informed the EFA that there are no hotel reservations in Kigali for the moment because the city will host an international AIDS conference.

He offered two possibilities: first to book a hotel that is 160 KM from Kigali and transport through domestic flight or to host the team in the Egyptian Embassy.

Both options have been declined by the EFA who is aiming to postpone the game.
