Roland Garros, still a dream for Federer

Once again top seed Roger Federer slipped up in the French Open final and lost to Rafael Nadal 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to maintain the Roland Garros title as an away dream for the Swiss champion.

Once again top seed Roger Federer slipped up in the French Open final and lost to Rafael Nadal 6-3, 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 to maintain the Roland Garros title as an away dream for the Swiss champion.

The 25-year-old Federer was dreaming of winning all four Grand Slam events and become the sixth man on earth to achieve such a glory but Nadal was standing there.

The Spaniard won his third title in a row becoming the first men since Bjorn Borg 1978-81 to win the tournament three consecutive times, and the first since Bjorn Borg in 1978-81.

Nadal also open the gap with Federer to 8-4 in their head to head record.
