Sfaxien president Salah Al-Din Al-Zahhaf said that Tunisian defender Wissem El-Abdi will join Qatar's Al-Rayyan after Zamalek failed to pay the second installment of the deal.

Zamalek have signed El-Abdi from Sfaxien in the January transfer window on a two-year deal for $400,000 that was due to be paid on two installments.

The Cairo giants paid the first installment but failed to meet the deadline for handing Sfaxien the second, and therefore, the Tunisian club decided to recall El-Abdi and sell him to Al-Rayyan.

"El-Abdi will join Al-Rayyan for $800,000. We have already reached an agreement with the Qatari club," Al-Zahhaf told Tunisian newspaper Al-Sabbah on Thursday.

FIFA is expected to have the final word in the row between Zamalek and Sfaxien as the latter have already sent an official complaint to the world governing body.
