Ismaili left-back Sayed Moawad said on Friday that Hosni Abd-Rabou's transfer saga has negatively affected the team in their Egyptian Cup semi-final against Ahli.

A below-par display by the Dervishes saw them suffer a 2-0 defeat at Cairo International Stadium to bow out of the cup and end the season empty-handed.

Few days before the clash, reports linked Abd-Rabou with a move to either Ahli or Zamalek after Ismaili chairman Yehia Al-Koumi failed to pay Strasbourg's dues to turn the player's loan deal into a permanent one.

"Talks which have emanated from the press in the past few days regarding Abd-Rabou's destination caused our lack of concentration in the match and resulted in our defeat," Moawad told Dream TV.

Meanwhile, Moawad revealed his desire to move abroad in case he receives a suitable offer, but insisted he will not play for any team in Egypt except for Ismaili.
