Wenger is looking for a replacement to Henry

Arsenal have announced signing Croatian striker Eduardo da Silva from Dinamo Zagreb on a 4-year-deal.

The Brazilian-born forward should join the Gunners for an undisclosed fee from the Croatian outfit, where he finished top scorer in the league last season with a massive record of 34 goals in 32 games.

The 24-year-old, whose move to the emirates Stadium is only subject to a medical, scored seven goals in 12 caps for Croatia.

The transfer comes as an attempt from Arsenal coach Arsene Wenger to make up for the departure of former star man Thierry Henry to Barcelona.

Henry's exit caused a major gap in Wenger's frontline, leaving Emmanuel Adebayor and Robin Van Persie as the team's notable strike forces.
