"The Qatari club demanded signing Mostafa on loan but didn't reveal any financial details," Al-Qaeyi told FilGoal.com.
"We requested their financial offer two weeks ago in order to consider it but they are yet to reply."
A source close to Mostafa said the energetic midfielder will fly to Qatar within the next couple of days to complete the loan deal. The player is set to receive 300,000 euros.
Despite being a regular in the past two seasons under Manuel Jose, Mostafa has fallen out of favor with the Portuguese boss recently.
Reports said Mostafa's relationship with Ahli board and technical staff strained due to his stalling over signing a new deal with the Cairo giants.
Ahli have already signed former Zamalek midfielder Moetazbellah Mohamed 'Eno' and are close to finalizing a deal with Strasbourg's Hosni Abd-Rabou, who spent the last season on loan with Ismaili.
The latest acquisitions fuelled rumors that Tunisian midfielder Anis Boujelbene could be also on his way out of the Red Devils.
Boujelbene's agent Ahmed Swelam told FilGoal.com that the former Sfaxien man is looking for a new club as he feels he won't be granted a regular place next season.
Meanwhile, an Ahli official revealed that the club have received a bid from German second division side Mainz for the services of Emad Meteb.
Mainz are seeking to find a replacement for Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan, who joined Hamburg SV.
However, the player is reportedly not willing to play in the German second division.
