Gohari quits Jordan – report

Egyptian technician Mahmoud Al-Gohari stepped down from his position as the manager of Jordan, local press reported.

Egyptian technician Mahmoud Al-Gohari stepped down from his position as the manager of Jordan, local press reported.

Daily Al-Dostour revealed that the 68-year-old tactician officially presented his resignation on Monday to the president of the Jordan Football Association (JFA) Prince Ali Ben Al-Hussein. No further details had been given by the press.

The former Egypt boss had a very successful five-year-spell with Jordan (2002-2007) as he made a significant progress in the Jordan football structure what had a huge impact on the performance of their national teams and clubs.

According to the report, Frenchman Philippe Troussier, who coached Ivory Coast, South Africa, Nigeria and Japan, will succeed him and the JFA will hold a press conference in the next few days to announce the details of his contract.
