Group A trio Venezuela, Peru and Uruguay have reached the quarter-finals of Copa America after two draws on Wednesday.

Hosts Venezuela held Uruguay 0-0 to maintain their unbeaten campaign, while Peru equalized twice to tie Bolivia 2-2 at Merida.

Chelsea new signing Claudio Pizarro grabbed a brace to cancel out goals from Bolivia's Jaime Moreno and Joselito Campos and send the Peruvians through.

Venezuela lead the group on five points, Uruguay and Peru tie at four points but the latter claim second place on goal difference.

14-time champions Uruguay automatically go through as one of the best two third-place teams, as winless trio Colombia, Ecuador and USA cannot reach four points from their remaining game.

Venezuela, Peru and Uruguay are the latest to join the quarter-finals after Mexico, Argentina and Paraguay have already booked their places earlier.
