
Argentina striker Hernan Crespo will miss the remainder of the Copa America campaign after suffering a thigh injury, Calcio Italia magazine reported on Wednesday.
The Inter Milan striker, who scored twice in Argentina's 4-1 victory over the U.S in the competition's opener, injured his thigh while converting a penalty in the 4-2 win over Colombia.
Medical tests showed that Crespo will be sidelined for at least three weeks and thus, will miss the rest of Copa America which Argentina are firm favorites to win.
Crespo's strike against Colombia has taken his tally to 35 goals, surpassing Argentina legend Diego Maradona.
He is also 21 goals short of former striker Gabriel Batistuta, who is Argentina's all-time scorer.
