A first-half brace by Omar Dabo sealed a 2-0 home victory for Algerian JS Kabylie over Moroccan FAR de Rabat on Friday in the second round of the CAF Champions League quarterfinals group stage.

The Malian international striker broke the deadlock at the 29th minute from the spot before doubling the lead 2-0 two minutes before the break.

The visitors took control of the game in the second half and were able to threaten the Algerian keeper but their strikers' lack of imagination and efficiency cost them a lot as they failed to convert any of the easy chances offered in front of goal. Half of them only could have earned them at least one point.

The Moroccan Champions are now in a crisis situation as they lost their first two games and their hopes in qualifying to the second round faded.

JS Kabylie joined Tunisian Etoile du Sahel and Libyan Ittihad on top of the group with three points but these two sides will play together tomorrow in Tunisia.

The victory made the perfect start for duo Kamel Mouassa and Moussa Saib who took control of the team 10 days ago after the exit of Azzedine Aït Djoudi who quit following the team's defeat against Ittihad of Libya in the first round.
