Zamalek keeper Mohamed Abdul-Monsef is furious after Ahli's Amir Abdul-Hamid was chosen as the best guardian in the Egyptian Cup.

"All the Egyptian FA officials are totally biased towards Ahli. That's one of the reasons I want to play abroad," Abdul-Monsef told FilGoal.com on Saturday.

The 30-year-old said that Catania have tabled an official bid to acquire his services on a three-year deal worth $150,000.

Abdul-Monsef came face-to-face with Abdul-Hamid in the Egyptian Cup final, where Ahli edged past Zamalek 4-3 in a thrilling encounter.

"I conceded just four goals throughout the competition, just like Abdul-Hamid, all were scored in the final. But I had to deal with severe pressure in the final, unlike my Ahli counterpart," he added.
