Ahli football committee agreed to sell defender Mohamed Sedik to Masri upon the request of the player, the Egyptian champions announced on Tuesday.

Ahli's official web site AhlyEgypt.com said that the football committee acknowledged the move after considering Masri's offer for the 28-year-old stopper.

Recent speculation suggested that the Port-Saied based club tabled around EGP 600,000 to acquire Sedik.

The player was grateful to the board for allowing him to move on, and he described his time at Ahli as unforgettable.

Sedik won a host of trophies with Ahli since joining from Zamalek three seasons ago, but he struggled to secure a regular place in Manuel Jose's starting eleven last season.
