Cisse joins Marseille permenantly

France striker Djibril Cisse has signed a five-year-deal with Olympique Marseille, the French side announced in an official statement.

Cisse spent last season with Marseille on loan from Liverpool, but the two clubs agreed on Friday to make his stay at the Stade Velodrome permanent.

The 25-year old striker spent three seasons at Liverpool, but he failed to make his mark as he frequently suffered from serious injuries including a horrific double leg break with France last year.

However, the former Auxerre forward returned to the Ligue 1 after recovering from his injury and had an impressive campaign with l'OM, guiding the team to the Champions League next season.
