Volleyball - Egypt concede third defeat in World Junior Championship

Egypt lost to Brazil 3-0 on Tuesday to concede their third defeat in four matches in the World Youth Championship held in Morocco, 7-15 July.

The Brazilians overwhelmed their opponents in all skills in the opening of Day 4 pool B and went through with an easy score of 25-17, 25-14, 25-13 led by a terrific Wallace De Souza who penetrated the Egyptian defense scoring 13 points.

Brazil coach Percy Oncken used some of their substitutes to give some rest to the main players in the South American Champion team.

The Pharaohs are now fourth in group B with 5 points with a single victory over Argentina 3-1 and three defeats from USA 3-2, Slovenia 3-0 and Brazil 3-0.

While Brazil who won three of their four matches are at the top of the standing.

The Egyptians will play their last game against the Russian giants on Wednesday.
