Tunisian midfielder Anis Boujelbene confirmed that he could be joining Qatari club Al-Arabi from Egyptian champions Ahli.

"Al-Arabi will negotiate with Ahli in order to sign me for next season," Boujelbene told Tunisian newspaper Al-Sabah on Sunday.

The same newspaper reported recently that 'Bouja' will be heading for Qatar and that the player has received offers from Ahli Dubai and Tunisia's Club African.

"I think I will be going to Al-Arabi because they are weighing a considerable offer to sign me," added the former Sfaxien midfielder.

"I won't return to Tunisia in the near future, I prefer the Gulf option."

On the other hand, Sfaxien playmaker Abdul-Karim Nafti, who has been tipped to be Boujelbene's replacement at Ahli, confirmed the African champions' interest.

"Sfaxien officials informed about Ahli's interest, and I don’t rule out the move, but I am sticking to my ambition to move to Europe," Nafti said.

Nafti is also linked to a move to French side St.Ettiene, as the Tunisian international insists that his priority will be for the European move.
