The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) decided to ban Olympic team star Mahmoud Abdul-Razeq 'Shikabala' one year from representing national teams after the Egypt's recent disappointment in the 2007 All African Games in Algeria.

A spokesman from the EFA informed FilGoal.com that the Zamalek playmaker was given a one-year ban along with his Zamalek teammate Ahmed Ghanem, whilst ENPPI defender Abdul-Aziz Tawfik will be banned for six months.

The decision came after reports from team's supervisor Mahmoud Bakr and manager Magdi Tolba suggested that trio behaved inappropriately during the team's stay in Algeria.

The verdict is unlikely to have an impact on uncapped duo Ghanem and Tawfik, but it will certainly affect Shikabala, who began to shine for the senior national team recently.

The current Olympic team will be released after they failed to reach the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games and they were thrashed out of the All African games.
