It seemed both players would conclude talks with Birmingham after the Blues agreed a six million pounds fee with Tottenham Hotspur.
However, the latest setback could hamper the transfer of Ghaly and Mido to St Andrews.
"I sat down with Birmingham officials to discuss the new contract. I totally rejected some clauses which were included in the deal," Mido told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.
"Ghaly's situation is just like me, his negotiations with the club have stalled for the same reasons."
Mido refused to reveal these clauses, but insisted they are not related to financial aspects.
"I don't know what will happen next, but I won't go to Birmingham unless these clauses are changed, otherwise I will return to Tottenham and wait for another offer or remain at Spurs," he added.
