Al-Wehdat advance to semis in Jordan Shield Cup

Jordanian champions Al-Wehdat, managed by Egyptian coach Ismail Youssef, have reached the semi-finals of the Jordan Shield Cup after beating Al-Hussein 4-2 in the Group A match on Monday.<br>

Jordanian champions Al-Wehdat, managed by Egyptian coach Ismail Youssef, have reached the semi-finals of the Jordan Shield Cup after beating Al-Hussein 4-2 in the Group A match on Monday.

Wehdat completed a perfect fig back from two goals down in the first half as they scored four second half goals to bag the three points.

Ahmed Abdul-Halim and Amer Deeb leveled the score for Wehdat within seven minutes after the break, before Jordan international Mahmoud Shelbaya scored a brace to win the game for Youssef's team.

Wehdat secured a semi-final place after they reached 9 points from 3 games, as they top the group with one match remaining.
