Egypt most experienced coach Mahmoud Al-Gohari is set to take charge of the Youth team that will play in the 2009 World Youth Championship in Egypt.

The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) board members had a long meeting on Tuesday but nothing official has been announced.

However, FilGoal.com knew from a close source in the EFA that both sides have agreed terms and that the deal will be unveiled in the next few days.

Gohari, who has just quit his job as Jordan boss after 5 years in charge, will also be named as the technical director of the EFA.

The 70-year-old tactician is Egypt most successful coach after leading the Pharaohs to the 1990 World Cup finals and the African Nations Cup title in 1998.

He also had a very large success with clubs leading Ahli, Zamalek (Egypt), Ittihad Jeddah, Ahli Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Al-Sharqa and Al-Wehda (UAE) to a host of titles.

On the other hand, the EFA board has dismissed the chief of the Players’ Committee Mohamed Ali from his position after the big mistakes he committed lately.
