Azmi's Debreceni defeated in Champions League qualifiers

Hungarian side Debreceni VSC, which Amir Azmi signed for recently, have suffered a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Sweden's Elfsborg in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.<br>

Hungarian side Debreceni VSC, which Amir Azmi signed for recently, have suffered a 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Sweden's Elfsborg in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

Elfsborg's Daniel Mobaek scored the only goal in the 65th minute to hand Debreceni a tough job when the two teams re-clash in the return game in Sweden next week.

Egyptian defender Azmi did not take part in the game as he has only recently arrived at the Hungarian side which clinched the domestic treble last season.

The former PAOK Saloniki stopper joined Debreceni in a one-year loan deal from Saudi outfit Al-Shabab.
