Zamalek have completed the signing of Atromitos Egyptian midfielder Ahmed Magdi on a four-year deal for 450,000 euros, the player's agent revealed on Friday.

"Atromitos board has held a meeting today in which they accepted Zamalek's bid for Magdi," Greek agent Zapatinas told FilGoal.com.

"Zamalek will pay 450,000 euros to Atromitos on three installments, each one worth 150,000."

"Magdi will receive EGP 700,000 in his first season with Zamalek and will be handed an EGP 100,000-a-year pay rise for the following three years," he added.

Zapatinas has also stated that the player was keen on a return to Egypt in order to fulfill his military service as not to face the same problem that happened to Mahmoud Abdul-Razeq 'Shikabala'.

Zamalek have announced the signing of Magdi on Thursday but Zapatinas insisted that no deal has been struck.

However, negotiations were successfully concluded shortly after as Magdi became Zamalek's fifth acquisition in the off-season following the arrival of Khaled Saad, Beshir Al-Tabie, Karim Zekri and Mahmoud Fathallah.

Magdi came through Ahli youth ranks before joining Greek club Panionios in 2005 on a free transfer after the Red Devils opted not to include him in their local squad.

He moved to Atromitos one year later but returned to Egypt for a new adventure with Zamalek.

The men in white have been long chasing a midfielder for the new season but were frustrated in their attempts after missing out on Trabzonspor's Ayman Abdul-Aziz and Iraq's Nashat Akram, who joined UAE club Al-Ain.
