Saviola scores as Real lose Russian Railways Cup

PSV Eindhoven won the Russian Railways Cup after beating Real Madrid 2-1 on Sunday night in the final game of the friendly tournament.

Ismail Aissati opened the score in the 33rd minute with a 30-meter shot and Ibrahim Afellay doubled the lead 14 minutes later from a free kick,

New Argentinean signing Javier Saviola scored Real's consolation goal at the hour mark.

Despite the defeat coach Bernd Schuster praised his team. "In spite of not being in the best of physical conditions, the team is playing to a high standard."

"The team tried to pull level after the restart (2-0 after 44 minutes) but this was made difficult by their physical state," added the German tactician.

On the other hand European champions AC Milan clinched the bronze medal after beating Lokomotiv Moscow 5-4 on penalties after the match ended 3-3.
