Dutch tactician Ruud Krol is set to arrive in Cairo, on Wednesday, to take the helm at Zamalek following the resignation of Frenchman Henri Michel.

"We agreed terms with Krol and he should arrive on Wednesday to finalize the deal," Zamalek spokesman Khaled Gabr told FilGoal.com.

"If the deal is completed Krol will start leading the team's training on Thursday ahead of Ismaili clash in the league opener on Monday."

Gabr refused to give any more details and said that a press conference will be held to announce all the details of the contract.

Krol is no stranger to Egyptian soccer as he spent four years in the country leading the Olympic team to the All African Games gold medal in 1995 as well as guiding the first team to the African Nations Cup quarter-finals one year later.

He also win the Afro-Asian Cup with Zamalek in 1997.

The former Dutch legend had a poor experience in France recently after ending the Ligue 2 with Ajaccio in the 12th place.
