Portuguese coach Eduardo 'Nelo' Vingada has resigned as Wydad Casablanca coach after just six weeks with the Moroccan side.

Speculation suggested that the former Zamalek manager was approached by Jordan national team in order to replace Egyptian veteran Mahmoud Al-Gohari.

Wydad shortlisted a number of French managers to take charge of the team, the names of Henri Michel and Patrice Neveu has been mentioned by the club's official site.

Vingada failed to reach the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games with Egypt after the Olympic team was eliminated from the first round of the qualifiers at the hands of Ivory Coast.
