German giants Borussia Dortmund had a shocking start of the season as they were beaten 3-1, at home, by Duisburg who marked their arrival in the top flight.

Nigeiran striker Manasseh Ishiaki hit a brace, 8 and 64, plus a penalty from Romanian midfielder Mihai Tararache, 62, sealed the full points of the game as the home side could only score a consolation goal by Florian Kringe.

The other debutant playing on that day, Karlsruhe, registered a 2-0 away victory against Cup winners Nuremberg courtesy to Tamas Hajnal who bagged goals either side of the break.

Bayern Munich, who spent 69 million to win their 21st Bundesiga crown, are on top of the standing after registering a 3-0 victory on Saturday.
