Syria join Tunisia in the U-17 World Cup last 16

Syria have secured a place in the last 16 phase of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Korea after registering a 2-0 victory over Honduras in the Group C match on Saturday.

Goals from Hani Al-Taiar and Ahmed Al-Saleh sealed the three points for the Syrians, who reached four points to make the last 16 as one of the best third-placed nations

The Arab nation joins Tunisia to the next round as the Tunisians have already booked their last 16 place, having six points from their first two games.

In Group D, Nigeria made it three wins out of three to storm into the next round with a 4-1 drubbing of Haiti.
