Leicester City's game with Nottingham Forest was called off after Leicester defender Clive Clarke collapsed at the half-time of the Carling Cup tie on Tuesday.

The Foxes announced that the player's condition is currently stable, though he would be kept at hospital overnight to monitor his condition.

The 27-year old Irish defender was immediately carried to the hospital after he lost consciousness, despite going into the dressing room normally at the break.

The incident comes few hours after the tragic death of Sevilla midfielder Antonio Puerta, who passed away from a double heart attack three days after his collapse in a league game on Saturday.
