The Egyptian Football Association (EFA) has condemned the un-sports’ attitude of Zamalek fans who offended the EFA vice-president Ahmed Shobeir during Ittihad match on Wednesday.

The Egyptian soccer governing body criticized such behavior towards one of its leading figures and asked the clubs and fans to focus on playing their supporting role in a positive way.

The official statement on the EFA’s official website said that the board will take tough disciplinary measures if such attitude is set to happen again.

The Zamalek-Ittihad game has been suspended twice as the fans insulted Shobeir believing he was the reason behind the suspension of Amr Zaki who was found guilty of verbal abuse towards the referee of Zamalek and Baladeya match.
