New Ittihad manager Mohamed Salah has hit back at the criticism of the club’s board member Sayed Al-Thalaabi who slammed his nomination as a head coach of the Alexandrian side.

“I’m unconcerned by such criticism and I’ll give you a quick answer against Tersana (on day 4 of the Egyptian League)” Salah told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

The former Zamalek star was appointed last week as the new Ittihad boss succeeding to Mohamed Omar who stepped down after a war of words with the board.

Salah confirmed that he doesn’t want to follow in footsteps of his predecessor because he wants to focus on his job.

“I am in commitment with Ittihad, the club, not some of his board members.”

The Alexandrian giants will face Tersana on September 14 in day 4 of the Egyptian League.
