Nigeria have clinched the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup in South Korea after beating Spain 3-0 on penalties, following a goalless full-time draw on Sunday.

The Super Eaglets had to thank goalkeeper Oladele Ajiboye, who saved the last two spot kicks to hand his team the title.

Spain missed three straight penalties by Asier Illarramendi, Fran Merida and Iago, and Nigeria punished them through Matthew Edile, Daniel Joshua and Ganiyu Oseni.

The Nigerians add a third title to their U-17 record, the previous two were won in 1985 and 1993.

on the other hand, Germany secured the bronze medal after beating Ghana 2-1 in the third-place playoff match.
