Telecom Egypt have registered their second straight win as they beat Ittihad of Alexandria 2-0 on Wednesday night in day 5 of the Egyptian League.

Nasser Hasanein broke the deadlock in the 55th minute and Amir Salah Zaki secured the victory in injury time to confirm the team's recovery after a disastrous start of the season conceding three straight defeats.

Zamalek former defender Wael Qabani shined in the game producing a strong performance in the hosts' backline as he seems to be on the good track to recover his renown form.

Telecom Egypt are now 10th of the table with six points while Ittihad drop to the bottom of the 16-team standing with only two points.

On the other match of the night, Harras Al-Hodoud's winless run continued as they were held on home soil to a 1-1 draw by Suez Cement.

Saied Abdul-Aziz opened the scoring after a rocketing 35-yard shot three minutes before the break. Harras put pressure on their guests until Abdul-Salam Nagah headed the equalizer in the 62nd minute.

The home side couldn't go further despite playing against 10 men after Suez Cement's George Areno was shown the red card in the 81st minute.

Both sides are in the relegation zone with two points each in 5 matches.
