A source in Ittihad of Alexandria technical staff revealed that the club's poor signings are behind the recent drop in form.

"Many players don't deserve to wear the Ittihad shirt and don't have the quality needed," the source, who preferred to stay anonymous, told FilGoal.com.

He pointed some players like Sameh Youssef, Reda Shehata, Mohamed Al-Yamani and Mohamed Salah saying they lost their edge.

"Obviously the recruitment was made randomly and not according to the team's need. We have six playmakers while we suffer from lack of defenders."

"We are trying to switch some players' positions as a temporarily solution. But we need from the fans to stand behind the team and to judge after at least two weeks from now."

Ittihad are now at the bottom of the 16-team table with only two points in five matches.
