Jordan side Al-Wehdat have dismissed claims that head coach Ismail Youssef is set to leave the club and join Zamalek.

"The club is sticking with its coach Ismail Youssef and confirm that all the reports in the local and Arab media are totally inaccurate," a statement said on the club's official website on Thursday.

It had been suggested earlier this week that the Jordan Champions would let the former Zamalek legend go to his club who is struggling in the Egyptian League after conceding three defeats in only six league games.

"Youssef won't leave and especially now. We are in the middle of the season and we have important fixtures in the Asian Cup Arab Champions League and the local competitions," said Youssef Al-Mokhtar, the club's spokesman.

The statement was posted on Thursday morning after an emergency meeting held late on Wednesday to discuss the subject.

"We have excellent relations with Zamalek but that doesn't mean that we can let our coach go anytime," added Al-Mokhtar.

Now that Ismail Youssef has been ruled out, the Whites will focus on Ashraf Qassem and Ayman Mansour to be appointed as the next assistant coach.
