Mahmoud Abdul-Razek 'Shikabala' has been banned from training with Zamalek's first team for a month due to disciplinary reasons, the club said.

The international playmaker has been absent from training without permission after being hit with a three-game suspension by the Egyptian FA.

He was also slammed by an internal fine, which made him angry and prompted his absence in protest.

"The team lacked discipline recently. We are trying to restore order now," newly-appointed football director Ayman Mansour told FilGoal.com on Sunday.

"Shikabala has been absent without permission and for that he will be training with the youth team and fined by the club."

Mansour sent a warning note to all his players, stressing that anyone, no matter how high his profile is, will be punished if he didn't respect the rules within the team.
