Zamalek’s striker Amr Zaki has opened talks with the board about the return of international defender Ibrahim Saied in January.

“I’m talking to the bosses about getting him back. He’s a good player and a fighter and I think that’s what we need at the moment,” Zaki told FilGoal.com on Thursday.

Zaki had a late meeting with Saied on Wednesday, and seemed very enthusiastic about the idea.

“He changed a lot and became a beloved person in his community. There is no better proof than his comeback to the National squad,” added the Zamalek striker.

Saied is on a two-week vacation as he left Ankara and came to Egypt to persuade Ahli officials to take him back.

But after the collapse of the move, the 26-year-old player is considering a return to Zamalek.

“I have nothing against them (Zamalek) and I have a total respect for the board and the fans,” said Saied.

“I left last year because of my personal problems. Now the issue is resolved and I could be back.”

Saied was signed by Rizespor in January and then he was loaned to Ankaragucu this season but failed to settle in Turkey and is now contemplating a return to one of the two giants, Ahli or Zamalek.
