Ahli keeper Amir Abdul-Hamid has been included in his side's 18-man squad for Ittihad clash in the CAF Champions League despite being banned recently for two weeks by the club.

The stand-in guardian was initially sanctioned and fined for walking out of the Red Devils' Friday training session without permission, apparently because of a dispute with a teammate.

However, Ahli assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri said the club have accepted Abdul-Hamid's apology. He will be handed an EGP 50,000 fine but will not be forced to miss the Cairo giants' games.

"I was subjected to psychological pressure in the past period, that's why I committed such a mistake," Abdul-Hamid said.

The 28-year-old keeper will serve as Essam Al-Hadari's back-up during Ittihad encounter in the second-leg of the CAF Champions League on Sunday.

A win by any margin for Ahli will be enough to lift them through to the competition's final after the first-leg ended in a goalless draw in Libya.

The African champions are seeking to win an unprecedented third successive Champions League title that will see them achieve a record of six titles, to surpass arch-rivals Zamalek.

The full squad:

Goalkeepers: Essam Al-Hadari, Amir Abdul-Hamid

Defenders: Emad Al-Nahhas, Shadi Mohamed, Ahmed Al-Sayed, Wael Gomaa, Islam Al-Shater

Midfielders: Mohamed Barakat, Gilberto, Hassan Mostafa, Anis Boujelbene, Hossam Ashour, Mohamed Abou-Treika
