Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh reached the final of the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday despite losing to Nigerian side Dolphin FC 3-0 in the last match of the group stage. Both sides finished their group campaign with 10 points, but Merrikh had a better head-to-head record as they crushed Dolphin 6-1 last month.
Dolphin needed at least a 5-0 win to advance.
Merrikh will face Sfaxien in the final in November.
