المنتخب ينتظر المجهول في غانا

Mohamed Abou-Treika has been declared fit to take part in Egypt's African Cup of Nations qualifier against Botswana on Saturday, the national team's trainer Hamada Sedki said.

It was feared the Ahli playmaker would miss the decider after picking up an injury during his team's 1-0 CAF Champions League victory over Libya's Ittihad on Sunday.

However, Sedki has allayed the fears, confirming that the classy playmaker is fully fit to feature in the match.

"He is training normally. He didn’t undergo any scans because the injury he sustained is a minor one, it did not cause him any problems," he told FilGoal.com on Wednesday.

Egypt will miss Ahli midfielder Mohamed Barakat and Middlesbrough striker Mido because of injury. Skipper Ahmed Hassan also won't be available as he will serve a three-match suspension.

A draw or a win for Egypt, who are in charge of Group B, will be enough to lift them through to the 2008 Ghana finals.
