Diouf denies quitting Senegal
Senegal forward El Hadji Diouf has denied quitting the national team, less than ten days after he announced his international retirement.

The Bolton winger claims that his outburst regarding some financial issues at the Senegal team has been 'distorted' and that his final decision is to keep representing his nation.

"I did not say that I was retiring from internationals," Diouf told French radio station RMC on Wednesday.

"The thing I said and which was quite distorted is that if things continue like that, I would quit the national team to concentrate exclusively on my club."

Diouf was absent from the Taranga Lions' 3-1 friendly victory over Guinea last week in preparation for the 2008 African Nations Cup in Ghana.
