The Professional Game Match Board, responsible for appointing referees to Premiership games, confirmed Clattenburg's absence from next week's action.
Clattenburg was heavily criticized by Everton manager David Moyes, who insisted that he will never accept an apology from the referee.
The Toffees had defenders Tony Hibbert and Phil Neville sent off, in addition to conceding a couple of penalties, which rounded off the 2-1 defeat at Goodison Park.
Moreover, Moyes blasted Clattenburg for not sending off Liverpool's Dirk Kuyt for a two-footed lunge on Neville, after which the Dutchman converted his second penalty to win the game for the Reds in injury time.
Kuyt admitted on Monday that he was lucky to avoid a straight red card after his blatant challenge on the England defender.
Apart from Clattenburg's errors, a reaction from the English FA is yet to be seen after Moyes' outburst against the Premiership official.
