Bayern Munich sporting director Uli Hoeness is refusing to echo Ottmar Hitzfeld's praise to youngster Toni Kroos, who notched the Bavarians' winner against Red Star in the UEFA Cup.

Kroos came off the bench nine minutes from time to spare Bayern's blushes against the Belgrade team.

Bayern were 2-1 down when Kroos set-up Miroslav Klose for the equalizer before scoring the winner himself in the additional time.

German coach Hitzfeld was full of praise for the 17-year-old, who gave Bayern an opening win in Group F.

"Toni is a future international. He is a passionate footballer with great instinct," Hitzfeld was quoted as saying by UEFA.com

"He always takes the right decision on the pitch and you don't have to tell him what to do."

However, Hoeness is refusing to get carried away with Kroos' impressive display.

"Stop telling me Toni was world class. For me (defender) Lucio was man of the match," he said.
