Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said his side became ready to go all the way for the Premiership title this season.

The Londoners remained unbeaten in the League when Cesc Fabregas' 80th minute strike earned them a 1-1 away draw with Liverpool.

"It will be a big challenge but we will be there," Wenger told Sky Sports after Sunday's game.

"We will try, we give everything in every game and we did that again today - it was a big test but we showed tremendous quality."

The game was billed as Arsenal's first real test this season and Wenger's side showed they are serious title contenders, maintaining their swift and silky-passing game at Anfield.

They went one down to a Steven Gerrard free-kick in the seventh minute but fought back to earn a point.

"We took the game and it was a question of not conceding the second goal and coming back," the Frenchman said.

Arsenal could have grabbed the victory but shots from Fabregas and Emmanuel Eboue rattled the post.

"When you play away form home and are one-nil down and against a team who is good on counter-attack and set-pieces, with 20 minutes to go you would take a point but we had enough chances to win the game," he added.
