Ahli sent an invitation to Mubarak last week in order to attend the game, which could see the Reds clinch an unprecedented third straight African title.

The invitation was acknowledged by the Egypt president, and an official response is set to be confirmed.

"The club received a preliminary acknowledgment from the presidency, and we are anticipating an official confirmation," an Ahli spokesman told FilGoal.com.

Mubarak last attended a football game in April, when Ahli entertained Barcelona in their centenary celebrations.
