Thuram wary of fighting Rangers

Rangers frustrated the 2006 champions with a solid performance in the 0-0 draw at Ibrox two weeks ago, and this time the winner could book a place in the last 16.

"Rangers showed at Ibrox they are strong, they just about drive you mad because of their pressure and the fact they never seem to give in," Thuram told the Daily Record.

"Like Frank Rijkaard (Barca manager) says, you should never underestimate any rival and must respect them - Rangers deserve our respect.

"They were determined not to lose in Glasgow and fought for it in their special way."

The two teams are level on seven points in Group E, and the 1998 World Cup champions with France eyes a win against the Scots.

"You have to give them credit, though of course we want to beat them tomorrow."
