Trezeguet has been impressive in the Serie A this season, netting 10 goals in 11 matches to lie on top of the scorers' chart.
Nevertheless, Domenech still believes that Trezegol, who last played for Les Blues in the 1-0 defeat to Scotland in September, has to exert more efforts to earn a call-up to France.
"He's made a bright start to the season. He is good. But there is a lot of competition (to make the squad)," Domenech told a press conference.
"However, the Euro finals are in eight months and we can still discuss things again. I hope he will keep going like this and that he will be at the Euro finals with us."
A draw for France against Ukraine will be enough to lift the 2006 World Cup finalists to Euro finals in Austria and Switzerland.
