Saudi giants Hilal are hoping to acquire the services of Egyptian forward Mohamed Zidan from Hamburg SV, Okaz daily newspaper reported on Saturday.

The paper claimed that the 25-year-old is a priority target for the Riyadh-based outfit, who are willing to lure the Egyptian on loan until the end of the season.

Zidan, who joined HSV last summer, has been struggling for a first team place at the Bundesliga side with the presence of Paolo Guerrero and Rafael Van der Vaart.

Hilal currently have two foreign players in hand, and the Blues are reportedly in dogged search for a third non-Saudi.
