Portuguese side Sporting Braga announced the hiring of Manuel Jose Machado as the team's new head coach, following the sacking of Jorge Costa last month.

The headline alerted Ahli supporters, who thought that Machado's name sake Manuel Jose, the current Reds' boss, is the labeled coach.

Speculation fueled after Jose flied to Portugal on vacation immediately after Ahli's 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Etoile Sahel on Friday.

The Portuguese manager was subjected to some attacks by an angry section of Ahli fans after the Cairo Stadium defeat, as he replied saying that he is ready to leave if the supporters wish so.

However, Jose, who led the Egyptian giants to three Champions League titles, confirmed that he will resume his work with Ahli as soon as he returns next week.
